There are presently no open calls for submissions.

We are born into a society that judges our skins, our genders, and our love lives. This Fall, Temenos asks you to expose the skeletons in your closets to share the deep dark of all our selves. We want to know: what are your bones made of—steel, or sand?

The best submissions of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and art and photography will be accepted. Fee for submission is $4. Submission deadline is Friday, November 18th, 2016; see
temenosjournal.com/index.php/submit for more information.

Submission inquiries can be directed to temenoscmu@gmail.com.

We seek to publish the very best new fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and artwork/photography by established and emerging writers and artists. All manuscripts are given full consideration. We suggest you familiarize yourself with Temenos before you submit; past editions may be viewed on the Home and Archive pages of www.temenosjournal.com.

Only previously unpublished work will be considered. We do accept simultaneous submissions, but ask that you inform us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere. At https://temenos.submittable.com/submit select the category you would like to submit to and read the submission guidelines for each category carefully.

If a piece is accepted, Temenos retains first publishing rights, as well as the right to reprint the piece in any “Best of” editions of the magazine. After publication, all rights revert back to the author.

We do not accept emailed submissions or previously published work.
